In support of St Gabriel's

2008 Coleman & Greig Charity Golf Day

Where Your Money Goes

The Coleman & Greig Charity Golf Day proceeds have supported many valuable resources and therapy for children at St Gabriel’s over the years.

In the early years the funds were used to provide resources such as books, toys and puzzles for the children in both the school and the Early Intervention Centre. As the Golf Day began to grow in popularity and the funds increased, they were used towards therapy for babies and toddlers between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years.

It costs on average $13,000 per year to help an early intervention baby, of which Government funding only covers approximately 16% or $2,080 per annum. The rest of the money must be found by fundraising. In fact, it is only through the generosity of the local community that the school can continue to offer this valuable service to families in need.
