Biography

Antoni Mrdjen was admitted as a Solicitor in 2006, after working in legal practices for a number of years, and joined Coleman & Greig in 2007, practicing primarily in their Family Law Team.

With a keen interest in Court work, Antoni provides his clients with cost effective solutions through the application of his extensive negotiation and mediation skills. He ensures timely resolution of his matters through the participation of parties in the negotiation process and his no nonsense, straight talking advice, provides clients with a deep understanding of the Court process and a platform for resolution.

Antoni brings a child-focussed attitude to his matters and considers the best interests of any children involved at all times. He is able to facilitate the role of the Independent Children’s Lawyer by actively participating in the investigative process and helps parents to understand the implications of the process for their children.

Antoni aims to provide a holistic approach to legal resolution. He attends various Local Courts appearing in defended Apprehended Domestic Violence Orders (ADVO’s) and Apprehended Violence Orders (AVO’s) for his clients. He provides his clients with assistance after their matters are resolved by attending Court in enforcement applications where parties have contravened Court Orders.

Prior to practicing in Family Law Antoni practiced in criminal law, commercial litigation, property and insurance law. He gained experience in a variety of Federal and State Courts and tribunals, as well as appearing in leave applications in the Court of Appeal of NSW.

Academically, Antoni was awarded first class honours after completing a Research Project in Family Law under the supervision of Federal Magistrate Altobelli. He was also a recipient of the Wwerriwa Bursary (part-scholarship) in 2001, as well as being added to the Executive Dean’s Merit List for academic excellence in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Antoni also represented UWS in the highly regarded Colin Davis National Family Law Mooting Competition, acting as Counsel.
